THAAD Skills Trainer

THAAD Skills Trainer is a virtual simulator of the real life THAAD System. This project accurately and realistically models both the visuals and functionality of these military systems for training purposes. 

Contributions

  • Designing user interaction for military vehicles' real-world operations:​

    • Prototyping dynamic procedural animations that change based on player actions​.

    • Designing individual and sequential player interactions

  • Determining task progression and victory conditions:

    • Reformatting training manual tasks to fit player interactions and object animations​.

    • Designing scoring systems to grade player actions in association to manual tasks.

    • Designing UI elements to effectively display task and score information to the player.

  • Designing and implementing tutorial level and player on-boarding processes:

    • Reskinning militaristic trainer into a familiar house environment. 

    • Teaching complex controls or systems using mundane objects and interactions.
